I’ve been there, too.
I almost don’t even recognize the girl in that first photo…and yet, I vividly remember what it felt like to BE her.
Sluggish. Tired. Bloated. Depressed. Frustrated. Overwhelmed.
I had struggled with my weight for over a decade. I had tried multiple diets. I ran mile after mile. I went to the gym. And the weight came off…until it came right back on again.
And then I despaired.
I ate cookies in the car so my family wouldn’t see me giving in to the sugar cravings that controlled me. I sighed and bought another pair of jeans in the next size up, telling myself that “next summer” I will figure it all out. I sought out beauty products to try and conceal the dark circles and puffiness all over my face…evidence that it wasn’t just my figure that was sub-optimal, but my health too.
And then, six years ago, everything changed.
I stopped making the “problem” be about food or exercise and began to set goals with a more holistic mindset.
I practiced a process to empower my own thinking and completely shifted my focus onto something that resulted in IMMEDIATELY tangible results for me.
I learned to listen to my body and make nutrition and fitness decisions that made sense for ME.
And I lost overt 50 POUNDS and have kept it off for six years.
I feel AMAZING. Vibrant. Clear-minded. Energetic. Healthy. Sexy. ALIVE.
And I did it all without a single moment of deprivation or white-knuckling or summoning some kind of elusive willpower.
Figuring out my weight loss was a journey that has permanently changed not only my body but EVERY area of my life. Because what I discovered was that no amount of burpees or salad was ever going to give me the lasting results that I was looking for. I had to completely re-define my relationship with myself and my body in ways that I never even knew was possible for me.
But now I know how. And I want you to know how, too.
